The beard hair transplant is indicated for patients who wish to look more manly and accentuate their masculine features through facial hair. It can also be used to cover facial scars derived from different backgrounds during the patient’s life. In some cases it is performed on patients who are in the process of sexual transition to accentuate masculine features thus providing security and comfort in the process of acquiring their desired image.
It consists of extracting follicular units (hair follicles) from the back and sides of the head with our successful FUE/DHI BHT method to be later prepared and implanted in the facial area (sideburns, cheeks, chin, chin strap and mustache).
What should I take into account to have a beard transplant at BHT?
To perform a beard hair transplant procedure it is necessary to perform an integral evaluation of the patient to review different factors such as: capacity of the donor area, amount of follicular units required in the recipient area, hair thickness and average number of hairs per follicular unit.
A surgical plan will be developed in which all the previous factors of the initial assessment are taken into account to determine; number of sessions needed to cover the desired areas, projection of results and realistic expectations for the patient.
